Seltz is now in the Claude connectors directory

Seltz is listed in Claude's connectors directory. Add it once and Claude will search the live web through our index during any conversation.

What it is

A connector is an MCP server that Claude can call mid-conversation.

Ours exposes our search endpoint, which has access to each of our indexes (docs here)

When Claude needs current information, it queries the Seltz index and gets back full documents.

Most retrieval tools hand a model a few hundred characters of a page, selected by a ranker that never saw the question. A full document lets the model read the source itself. On questions where the answer sits in the middle of a long filing or an earnings transcript, the excerpt usually does not contain it.

The connector runs on Claude web, desktop, and mobile, against the same index and the same endpoint our customers use in production.

Why it matters

Retrieval inside a chat assistant is normally invisible. You ask a question, sources come back, and the index they came from was chosen for you. A connector makes that your decision.

It also makes it inspectable. Claude shows the documents it retrieved, so when an answer is wrong you can tell whether the retrieval missed or the reasoning did.

For anyone evaluating Seltz for a production workload, this is also the shortest path to a real test. You can run the queries you actually care about against the real endpoint before committing engineering time to an integration.

How to use it

  1. Open Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors (or just click here).

  2. Find Seltz in the directory and click Connect (or just click here).

  3. Paste your Seltz API key. You can generate one at console.seltz.ai.

  4. Ask Claude a question that needs current information.

Web connectors require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). The directory is browsable on web and desktop, so setup is easier there than on mobile.

Three prompts to start with:

  • "Search everything published on Seltz in the last week and tell me what changed in their positioning."

  • "Find 5 AEs in Idaho with experience selling software."

  • "Pull articles about the latest OpenAI news and tell me which claims appear in more than one source."

Cheers, Seltz Team.
